Echo
Abbildung 2: Strain echocardiography shows a decreased strain, red indicates the strength of the contractility of the individual sections. Blue, on the other hand, indicates dilatation of the wall layer. So, akinesia is seen in the posterolateral wall sections. Note here that the global strain is normal and only the longitudinal strain is decreased. Since the logitudinal strain is very variable, only the global longitudinal strain is normally used in literature.
