Thrombose bei COVID-19 // COVID-19 and thrombosis Journal für Pneumologie 2022; 10 (1): 9-13 Volltext (PDF) Summary Abbildungen

One of these systemic complications are venous and arterial thrombosis as well as disseminated intravascular coagulopathies. COVID-19 is therefore also a hemostaseological disease. A new form of coagulopathy after COVID-19 vaccination with ChAdOx1 Astra Zeneca vaccine and AD26.COV2 Johnson & Johnson vaccine has been reported. This thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome is referred to as vaccine-induced thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT) and is associated with thrombosis at unusual sites (e.g. cerebral vein thrombosis). Guidance and recommendations for rapid diagnosis and treatment have been developed.
