Devices and technical aspects of transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). Since the first transcatheter aortic valve implantation by Alain Cribier in 2002 [1] there has not only been a rapid development of available TAVI devices but also a growing standardization and simplification of the procedure. In this manuscript you will find an overview on procedural aspects and in 2023 common TAVI devices.
Kurzfassung:Seit der ersten perkutanen Implantation einer Aortenklappenprothese [1] durch Alain Cribier im Jahre 2002 kam es nicht nur zu einer rasanten Weiterentwicklung der im Einsatz befindlichen Devices, sondern auch zu einer zunehmenden Standardisierung und Vereinfachung der Prozedur. Im Folgenden findet sich ein Überblick über prozedurale Aspekte und die derzeit (Stand 2023) in Österreich gängigen „modernen“ Prothesentypen.
