SARSCoV-2 infections have important implications for cardiovascular diseases. Cardiovascular diseases are important risk factors for severe courses of COVID-19 disease and the COVID-19 disease may trigger cardiovascular complications such as myocarditis or arrhythmias. It is of great importance to monitor the interaction of drugs that are used in the treatment of COVID-19 and drugs with the potential for QT prolongation such as antiarrhythmics.

Kurzfassung: SARS-CoV-2-Infektionen haben
erhebliche kardiovaskuläre Implikationen. Kardiovaskuläre Erkrankungen stellen einerseits
erhebliche Risikofaktoren für schwere COVID-
19-Krankheitsverläufe dar und andererseits kann eine COVID-19-Erkrankung mit kardiovaskulären Komplikationen wie Myokarditis oder Arrhythmien einhergehen. Besonderes Augenmerk muss auf die Interaktion von Medikamenten, die zur COVID-19-Behandlung verwendet werden, und potentiell QT-verlängernden Medikamenten wie Antiarrhythmika gelegt werden.
