This slide shows the result of a meta-analysis of five multicentre trials that used ABPM to compare the antihypertensive efficacy of telmisartan, losartan, valsartan and amlodipine.1 Telmisartan 80 mg was significantly superior to losartan 50 mg and valsartan 80 mg in the reduction of 24-h mean SBP and DBP. 1.
