Echocardiography is regarded as the primary imaging modality in patients with stenotic valve diseases. The aim of this paper is to provide recommendations for the echocardiographic evaluation of aortic stenosis on the basis of the „2021 ESC/EATS Guidelines for the management of valvular heart disease“ and the „2017 EACVI/ASE Clinical Recommendation on the Echocardiographic Assessment of Aortic Valve Stenosis“.
Kurzfassung: Die Echokardiographie gilt heutzutage als Goldstandard in der Evaluierung von Patienten mit Aortenstenose. Ziel des vorliegenden Artikels ist es, in Anlehnung an die aktuellen Leitlinien der „2021 ESC/EACTS Guidelines zum Management von Klappenerkrankungen“ und der „EACVI/ASE Clinical Recommendation on the Echocardiographic Assessment of Aortic Valve Stenosis“ aus dem Jahre 2017 eine Empfehlung für die echokardiographische Untersuchung und Beurteilung von Aortenklappenstenosen abzugeben.
