Note seminal tubules containing CIS cells with the positive immunostaining for placentallike alkaline phosphatase (PLAP) and the neighboring seminal tubule with several CIS cells and numerous normal spermatogenic cells (magnification 200×).

Result of immunostaining for the presence of placenta-like alkaline phosphatase (PLAP) in the testis of a 3-years-old child with partial gonadal dysgenesis. Note the presence of PLAP-positive (yellow-brownish staining of cytoplasm) CIS cells near the tubular membrane (magnification 400×).
