The mean differences of pain scores. In both groups, pain reduction between the baseline and day 7 were statistically significant (p<0.01). On day 14 in both groups the median pain VAS scores were 0 in both groups of patients. The intergroup differences were negligliable at any point. The pain assessed by VRS paralleled the values of pain reduction obtained by VAS. There were no differences between the groups concerning the pain rescue medication consumption.
