Abbildung 20: Telmisartan - Perindopril
The EValuation de l’Efficacité RESiduelle du Telmisartan (EVEREST) study compared telmisartan (n=217) with perindopril (n=218) over 12 weeks.1 Initial treatment was telmisartan 40 mg and perindopril 4 mg, with the dose doubled at Week 6 for those patients who failed to reach target blood pressure (DBP <90 mmHg). More patients required a dose doubling of perindopril (55%) than of telmisartan (41%, p=0.005) Despite the higher rate of dose doubling with perindopril, telmisartan still reduced blood pressure measured at home compared with perindopril. Telmisartan also significantly reduced clinic blood pressure compared with perindopril. More patients had a clinic DBP <90 mm Hg with telmisartan than with perindopril (58% versus 46%, respectively, P<0.01), and more patients had an SBP <140 mmHg (46% versus 32%, respectively, P<0.005). 1.
